Project 2 Story Ideas

1. Will Munsterman
   1. A real success story on the Men’s Swim team. Will started off his collegiate career on the club swim team, working to improve until he would be allowed on the varsity team by the head coach, Russ Yarworth. He worked so hard that not only was he asked to be on the varsity team, but he was on several relays at the championship meet and won a few medals. 
   1. I think this would be a good story for sound because I could interview Will, Russ, maybe some other teammates, and get sounds of the practices. 
2. A Ph.D candidate 
   1. I think this could be a good story because if anyone is like me, they might not know just how much work and effort it takes to be a PhD candidate. I am curious about the process and to learn more about it from a candidate and their advisor. 
3. MIAA proposed new rules for Massachusetts high school basketball seeding and rankings 
   1. The MIAA has proposed adding margin of victory to their rankings, which will affect playoff seeds. I think interviewing the community that would be affected by it and an official on the MIAA could be interesting to get a clearer picture of the situation and how the community is reacting. 
   1. I cover high school basketball so I could also get sounds from the games.
